nicolatodd.jpgAbout Me: I studied clinical hypnotherapy and NLP with the London College of Clinical Hypnosis. I have been practising since 1997 and am a supervisor for the LCCH, overseeing the training of student hypnotherapists. I hold the British Medical Hypnotherapy Board's Diploma in Hypnosis, a Diploma in Advanced Structured Hypnotherapy and a Practitioner Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH).

How Many Sessions? Consultations usually take one hour. The number of sessions will depend on the nature of the problem. The breaking of habits such as smoking, will usually taken one or two sessions, whereas lifelong problems may need a series of consultations.

How Do I Work? I use an interactive technique, beyond pure suggestion, combining hypnosis, NLP, CBT and EMDR. The subconscious is persuaded to reprogram its 'software' because a symptom or behaviour does not serve a useful purpose. Hypnosis is effective in any condition where emotional or psychological factors are involved or where behaviour patterns or habits need to be changed. Hypnosis induces a heightened state of awareness in which the subconscious mind becomes very receptive to beneficial suggestions. Positive changes can occur by utilising this natural power of the mind in a clinical setting.

Speciality: I have a degree in the performing arts and specialise in the treatment of performance anxiety (stage fright, interviews, presentations, examinations) and have worked with many actors, singers, sportsmen and executives to maximise potential and attain goals.

I work from my clinic in Kingston Upon Thames. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to make an appointment. I work mainly during the day but can offer an evening appointment by special request.
